My name is Alyson Nicole Melhus. I was born and raised in a small town in (the middle of nowhere) Pennsylvania. After graduating college, I got my first job in the fashion industry as a leather belt design assistant. In 2018, got married to a Brooklyn native and put down roots in Bay Ridge.

My maternal grandmother was the one that got me interested in Fashion design. She taught me to sew at a very young age and I ran with it. Of course there were moments that gave her a heart attack (IE: I liked to make my own patterns before I properly knew how) but I knew that she was happy to share those moments with me as I was with her.

My favorite thing about having a bridal line is working direct with brides to create bespoke designs.  Don’t get me wrong, I love making everything for my collection (to the point where I have to contain myself from making more) but it is an amazing feeling to create a dress or an accessory that is truly one-of-a-kind for their big day. It makes it SO special and it’s such a great honor to make that heirloom for them!
